Examples of instruments we have designed and built in the past include:
- AUTOCORE field-portable automatic core analysis system that measures continuous ECM, particulate, nitrate/nitrite, pH, and liquid conductivity
- Ice coring lathe for removing surface contamination as a first stage in a trace-metal sampling protocol
- Borehole water sampler (modified Niskin sampler)
- Borehole hammer system for inserting instruments into a soft glacier bed
- Strain/tilt meters for measuring in-situ deformation within glacial basal material
- "Slide-O-meters" for measuring glacier basal sliding rates
